Carved & Cast Wedding Ring Workshop
What better way to ensure your wedding or commitment rings hold special meaning than to hand craft them yourselves using jewellers wax and files in a fabulous private jewellery workshop?
This particular workshop is held over two half-days (at least two weeks apart) and is the perfect workshop if you want to create an organic, unusual shaped, or fitted wedding band that wraps around your engagement ring.
If you would like to make your ring from Platinum, this is the only way to do so.
In the first session, we measure your finger and then work with a special jewellers wax to create your ring. You will use a range of special wax files, burrs and carving tools to create your unique wedding rings.
At the end of this workshop, the ring is then sent to a casting house to be transformed into the metal of your choice.
*Please note, the metal is an additional cost and will be calculated once you finish carving your wax ring. It depends on the thickness, width and metal chosen for your ring*
After the ring is cast, you return for the second part of the workshop where you will file, sand and polish your ring to perfection. (If you are short on time, we are happy to finish your rings for you and post them to you via platinum post at no additional fee).
After the rings are finished, a mould of the ring can also be made for an additional $150. If your ring is ever damaged or lost, you can easily have another one cast.
The Carved and Cast Wedding/Commitment Ring Workshop includes:
- 2 x half day ring making workshops for two people
- Expert tuition by a qualified jeweller
- A yummy morning/afternoon tea
- Unlimited tea and coffee
- Your casting fee
- All tools equipment and wax
- Metal (to be calculated once the casting house weighs your waxes)
- Stone setting starting from $25 per stone
- Fingerprint engraving $250 per ring
- Engraving a message/name/date $180 per ring
- Engraving a message in your handwriting $250 per ring

Workshops are held on the Sunshine Coast, an hours drive north of Brisbane.
Workshops need to be booked at least a month in advance.
