Formed & Cast Wedding Ring Workshop

This couples private formed and cast wedding ring making workshop is held over two sessions, which are at least a week apart. This workshop suits couples where one person needs to make a plain wedding band and the other needs to carve a band to wrap around an engagement ring. 

In the first session, we measure your fingers and then one of you will work with wax, while the other works directly with the metal to create their ring. 

At the end of this workshop, the wax carved ring is taken to Melbourne to be cast in the metal of your choice. 

After the ring is cast, you return for the second session where this time you both work directly with the metal to file, sand and polish your ring (or we can finish your rings for you and deliver via registered post).

After the rings are finished, a mould of the ring can also be made for an additional $150. If your ring is ever damaged or lost, you can easily have another one cast.

 

The Carved and Cast Wedding/Commitment Ring Workshop - $950 per couple and includes

  • Private ring making workshop for two
  • Delicious morning or afternoon tea
  • Unlimited tea and coffee
  • Casting fee.
  • All tools equipment and wax
Additional expenses:
  • Stone setting starting from $25 per stone
  • Fingerprint engraving $250 per ring
  • Engraving a message/name/date $180 per ring
  • Engraving a message in your handwriting $250 per ring
  • Rhodium plating (for white gold rings) $80 per ring

If you would like to make your ring from Platinum, this is the only way to do so. 

    Workshops are held on the Sunshine Coast, an hours drive north of  Brisbane. 

    The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful location with plenty of things to see and do. We've negotiated some discounts for Jewellery Collective students, so you can stay a little longer and enjoy everything this area has to offer.
